Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, due to the nature of the studies – mathematics, data analysis and computer science, hosts companies from the IT and Data Science industries. The event is very popular among students, both studying in Polish and international students of Computer Science, despite the fact that many of them are already working professionally. Cooperation with the external environment is not limited to the organisation of such events. We constantly listen to business opinions, inviting companies to co-create study curricula to make them even better adjusted to market demands
– says Prof. Marek Majewski, Vice-Dean of the faculty.
He also adds:
Moreover, we invite practitioners to co-conduct classes with our students, so that they gain not only important knowledge and competences, but also practical skills. It all breaks a certain stereotype that people with scientific minds study mainly at technical universities. The university also provides practical education and efficiently competes with technical universities, especially in education in such fields as computer science, data analysis, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biotechnology.
