The Search for the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine (LDGM) is an experiential simulation programme. It is designed to be an engaging challenge and provides great insights into the secret of true teamwork. Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine simulates the setting of the desert where participants must get to the mine and mine as much gold as they can and return home. It is an exercise where teams are provided with a mission and a challenge, given resources and information and then asked to make a variety of choices to develop and execute their plan. The situations that arise are designed to apply directly to real-time situations; participants then can relate to and apply the learning from the simulation to life! So get out those guns and boots, cause this is going to be one interesting ride!

On the occasion of Juwenalia (Student Festival) Prof. dr hab. Rafał Matera, Rector of the University of Lodz, has established 23 May (Friday) as a day off from classes at the University of Lodz.

Juwenalia of the University of Lodz and the Medical University of Lodz will take over a week – on 23-24 May various events will be available to students and doctoral students from both partner universities. This year's festival programme will be announced soon.
Date and time of the event: 23 May 2025 (Friday) All day
As of 14.04.2025, access to the shared faculty car park between the Faculties of Biology and Environmental Protection, Applied Physics and Informatics, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Management of the University of Lodz will be granted exclusively to full-time students, part-time students, postgraduate students, and employees of these faculties who possess the requisite authorisation and entry card.

We would like to remind you that all requests for enrolment in repeated courses should be sent directly to plan@wmii.uni.lodz.pl by 16 March 2025.
Requests for enrolment in elective courses, courses arising from curriculum differences should be submitted on a paper application form in room A228 by 16 March 2025
From 17 March 2025 to 30 March 2025, enrolment or withdrawal from courses is only possible with the approval of the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Quality of Education. In this case, the appropriate application must be submitted in room A228.
From 31 March 2025, enrolment or withdrawal from the course is only possible with the approval of the course teacher. In this case, the appropriate application must be submitted in room A228.

Please check in the USOS system that you are registered for all courses that must be passed in the summer semester 2024/2025 - this includes courses from the study programme, repeated courses, elective courses, courses from curriculum differences, etc.
In the USOS system, there must be only those courses that you must pass, i.e., those courses from which you will take examinations/assessments in the summer semester 2024/2025.

According to Academic Calendar didactic classes in the summer semester start on 3 March 2025 and last until 15 June 2025.
The collective class schedule is published at Class Schedule website
Individual class schedules are available on USOSWeb platform.
Students are asked to check the schedule before each class due to changes that may occur for reasons unrelated to the faculty.
Students are asked to verify that all courses from the study program are included in the individual class schedule in USOSweb.
Token registration for Physical Education classes in the summer semester 2024/2025
starts on the 25th February 2025 at 9.00 AM
and finishes on the 16th March 2025 at midnight.
PE classes start on the 3rd March 2025 although the registration will be open longer.
Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science should choose PE classes on Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, as there are no other classes scheduled during this time.

Conditions of participation
As of 1 January 2025, there will be a change in the bank account numbers for education and dormitory fees at University of Lodz. This change is necessary due to the streamlining of financial processes and to ensure greater security of transactions.
From 2025, each student of the University of Lodz will be assigned their own individual account number:
- a separate individual account number for tuition fees (regardless of the number of study programmes and type of studies)
- a separate individual account number for dormitory fees.
How to find a new account for payments – instructions:
New account numbers will be published on 1 January 2025 in USOSWeb:
- Log in to your USOSWeb account
- Go to the tab "COMMON SECTION" and then "PAYMENTS".
If you use the "standing orders" or "direct debits" options, be sure to update the account number in your electronic banking as of 1 January 2025.
The change applies to all students paying fees in PLN. Fees in EUR remain unchanged and are paid to a bank account indicated by the University of Lodz.

All students of the first year of Bachelor degree and the first year of Master degree who begin their studies in the academic year 2024/2025 are obliged to take and pass OSH course 2024/25, Training course in copyright 2024/25 and Library training 2024/25.
The courses are available from October 2024 on Moodle platform.

Electronic registration for elective courses in the academic year 2024/2025 will be open on USOSweb platform
from 22.05.2024 8:00 AM
till 27.05.2024 8:00 AM.
Electronic registration for elective courses will be available to the second year students of I degree (Bachelor Degree) and the first year students of II degree (Master Degree).
Students are obliged to select elective courses for the winter semester 2024/2025 and the summer semester 2024/2025.

If the student has not registered electronically, the student must contact us by e-mail or in person.
Repeated courses enrolment is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester, the student must obtain the consent of the teacher to be added to the group.
Group change only in justified cases is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
From the 3rd week of the semester onwards, the student must obtain the teacher's permission to join a new group and the teacher's permission to leave the current group.

Dear Students,
on 07.01.2025, instructions to receive administrative decisions were sent to the emails in the university domain to all students who submitted applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2024/25. After receiving the electronic decision, an appeal can be submitted within 14 days (Annex No. 5). The Annex no 5 should be delivered to the COSSiS SiD office at Lumumby Street 1 or can be sent by post to the same address.
