I would like to cordially invite the first year students of I degree (Bachelor degree) that study Computer Science in English to attend information meeting regarding the settlement of the winter semester 2024/2025.

The meeting is scheduled to be held on Friday24.01.2025 at 10:30 AM in Aula

Attendance is mandatory. 

Please complete teacher and course evaluation surveys on USOSweb.

Students of Computer Science in English are to fill out the surveys in the English version only.

The surveys are anonymous and will be active from 20.01.2025 8:00 AM to 10.02.2025 8:00 AM.

How do I fill in the survey? 
After logging in to USOSweb, select ‘Surveys’ from the menu and enter the survey code: 1100-24/25_N_Z

Remember that the surveys:

  • are anonymous and voluntary;
  • allow the Lecturers to find out your opinion;
  • make it easier for the Faculty authorities to monitor, analyse and improve the quality of education.

Exam dates for the winter semester have been set and published on the faculty website.

According to Academic Calendar examination sessions in the winter semester 2024/2025 take place on the following dates:

  • from 3 February to 16 February 2025 – winter examination session,
  • from 24 February to 2 March 2025 – winter make-up examination session.

Dear Students,

on 07.01.2025, instructions to receive administrative decisions were sent to the emails in the university domain to all students who submitted applications for the Rector's scholarship for the academic year 2024/25. After receiving the electronic decision, an appeal can be submitted within 14 days (Annex No. 5). The Annex no 5 should be delivered to the COSSiS SiD office at Lumumby Street 1 or can be sent by post to the same address.

Dear Students, 

The exam in a foreign language (curriculum exam) for the 1st year students, who have reached minimum B2 level in the placement test and submitted required documents for an earlier exam date -  will be held on 1 February 2025 (Saturday) at Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics (address: 149/153 Pomorska Street) at 08.00-10.30  (the written part in Great Lecture Hall ( "Duża Aula") / Small Hall (“Mała Aula”) and 11.30-15.30 (the oral part in selected rooms of the faculty). 

Please arrive 20 minutes earlier and wait for verification on the basis of your identity card or student identity card, allowing you to enter the premises and sit the exam. 
After the written part you will be directed to designated rooms. The oral exam is taken in pairs appointed by examiners.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE Curriculum exam first-cycle studies - general information (non-Polish speakers)​

Due to the low number of Mondays in the winter semester, the Dean has decided that on 07.01.2025 (Tuesday) classes will be held as scheduled on Monday.

Individual class schedules are available on USOSWeb platform.

As of 1 January 2025, there will be a change in the bank account numbers for education and dormitory fees at University of Lodz. This change is necessary due to the streamlining of financial processes and to ensure greater security of transactions.

From 2025, each student of the University of Lodz will be assigned their own individual account number:

  • a separate individual account number for tuition fees (regardless of the number of study programmes and type of studies)
  • a separate individual account number for dormitory fees.

How to find a new account for payments – instructions:

New account numbers will be published on 1 January 2025 in USOSWeb:

  • Log in to your USOSWeb account
  • Go to the tab "COMMON SECTION" and then "PAYMENTS". 

If you use the "standing orders" or "direct debits" options, be sure to update the account number in your electronic banking as of 1 January 2025.

The change applies to all students paying fees in PLN. Fees in EUR remain unchanged and are paid to a bank account indicated by the University of Lodz.

    On Tuesday 12.11.2024 at 4:00 PM there will be the meeting on MS Teams platform with the representative of the Foreign Languages Centre concerning foreign language classes and obligatory language placement test.

    All students of the first year of Bachelor degree and the first year of Master degree who begin their studies in the academic year 2024/2025 are obliged to take and pass OSH course 2024/25, Training course in copyright 2024/25 and Library training 2024/25.

    The courses are available from October 2024 on Moodle platform.

    We would like to remind you that all requests for enrolment in elective courses, repeated courses, courses arising from curriculum differences should be sent directly to plan@wmii.uni.lodz.pl by 17 October 2024.

    From 18 October 2024 to 31 October 2024, enrolment or withdrawal from courses is only possible with the approval of the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Quality of Education. In that case, the appropriate application must be submitted in room A228.

    From 1 November 2024, enrolment or withdrawal from the course is only possible with the approval of the course teacher. In that case, the appropriate application must be submitted in room A228.

    Please check in the USOS system that you are registered for all courses that must be passed in the winter semester 2024/2025 - this includes courses from the study programme, repeated courses, elective courses, courses from curriculum differences, etc.

    In the USOS system, there must be only those courses that you must pass, i.e.,  those courses from which you will take examinations/assessments in the winter semester 2024/2025.

    According to Academic Calendar didactic classes in the summer semester start on 3 October 2024 and last until 2 February 2024.

    The collective class schedule is published at Class Schedule website

    Individual class schedules are available on USOSWeb platform.

    Students are asked to check the schedule before each class due to changes that may occur for reasons unrelated to the faculty.

    Students are asked to verify that all courses from the study program are included in the individual class schedule in USOSweb. 

    On 07.01.2025 (Tuesday) classes will be held as scheduled on Monday.

    Token registration for Physical Education classes in the winter semester 2024/2025
    starts on the 24th September 2024 at 9.00 AM
    and finishes on the 13th October 2024 at midnight.

    PE classes start on the 3rd October 2024 although the registration will be open longer.

    Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science should choose PE classes on Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, as there are no other classes scheduled during this time.

      Student is obliged to enrol for Electives, Degree Projects and Team Project during electronic registration in the USOS system. 
      If the student has not registered electronically, the student must contact us by e-mail or in person.

      Repeated courses enrolment is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.
      From the 3rd week of the semester, the student must obtain the consent of the teacher to be added to the group.

      Group change only in justified cases is possible until the first 2 weeks of the semester.​​​​​
      From the 3rd week of the semester onwards, the student must obtain the teacher's permission to join a new group and the teacher's permission to leave the current group.
